Why I started Arcana

I started arcana because I wanted something that didn't exist yet — a career community grounded in real relationships, not transactions.

I'd always been complimented on my ability to connect people socially, and I wanted to take that to the next level and bridge that same gap on the professional side. After moving to New York, I found that the networking scene left me wanting more: events that felt like somewhere, conversations that went past surface level, and friendships that actually lasted. I hosted a dinner for twelve women in my apartment and built from there.
